Managed by the same family who runs Krua Chaiwat restaurant, the guesthouse is located in a very small street just behind the restaurant. This charming wooden building has five well equipped rooms which are clean, cozy and inexpensive. If sea view is not your priority, and you’re looking for a family atmosphere, Baan Praw Sang Duan Guesthouse might be the right choice.
Baan Praw Sang Duan (บ้านพราวแสงเดือน) literally means “dazzling home in the moonlight”. It’s very poetic, but it might not be the easiest name to remember. So if you ask for the place, just mention “Krua Chaiwat guesthouse”: everybody will know what you’re talking about.
The guesthouse itself is a two-storey wooden house. There are two rooms at the first floor with a shared bathroom (650฿) and three rooms upstairs with private bathrooms (750฿). All rooms are fully equipped with aircon, TV, wifi and fridge. Breakfast is included and you can have it at Krua Chaiwat restaurant or delivered in the guesthouse. The first floor has also a small kitchen where you can have as much tea and coffee as you want.
If you came to Prachuap with your own car, Baan Praw Sang Duan Guesthouse has an interesting feature since it has a parking place, just in front of the house.
In my opinion, Baan Praw Sang Duan Guesthouse has two major assets: The rooms as well as the common areas are immaculate and the service is the best you can find. Everybody will bend over backwards to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
I must say that I had a very good feedback from different people who have been staying there: definitely recommended.
