At around 8 km north of Prachuap Khiri Khan, stands Ao Noi Temple ((Wat Tham Phra)) which is definitly worth a visit. This temple has been built in 2003, it’s totally made of teak wood and its architecture is really remarkable. Located between Ao Noi bay and Khan Kradai bay at the foot of a limestone hill, Ao Noi Temple is a haven of peace set amid a majestic scenery.
Be aware that Ao Noi temple is not a museum, it’s a place of worship where thai people come to “tam boon” which means making merit by making an offering and praying Buddha. Therefore, like in any other religious place you should behave respectfully and wear appropriate clothing.
To access Ao Noi Temple, go through Ao Noi fishing village and then turn left when you see a sign indicating “Aow Noi Seaview Resort”. Follow the road and you’ll soon reach this beautiful place.
